Carolina S. has a strong background in human resources, with extensive experience in leadership roles. Carolina currently serves as the Vice President of Human Resources (Head of People) at Kaiyo, starting in July 2021. Prior to this, they were the Sr. Director & Head of Field Human Resources at Wonder, a food tech start-up, from May 2020 to December 2020. In this role, they built a scalable field HR function and served as an HR business partner to various executives.

Carolina also held the position of Director of Human Resources (CHRO) at Gilbert, a provider of trade show exhibits and corporate events, from 2016 to 2020. Carolina led the transformation of the HR function and acted as an HR business partner to the CEO and executives. Before Gilbert, Carolina worked as the Director of Human Resources at CBLPath, a diagnostic laboratory, from 2015 to 2016. Carolina was contracted to reduce HR-related operating risks and achieve HR-related accretion targets from an acquisition.

Prior to CBLPath, Carolina was the Manager of Human Resources at SUEZ in North America, where they led HR for a 200-employee operating contract and managed a team. Carolina also served as the Director of Human Resources (CHRO) at Teq, a provider of ed tech and professional development solutions, from 2009 to 2012. In this role, they built the HR function for the family-owned company following a generational leadership transfer and managed a team.

Carolina's career in HR began as a Specialist in Human Resources at MetLife Financial Services from 2005 to 2006. Overall, they have a proven track record of building and transforming HR functions, serving as a strategic HR business partner, and managing teams.

Carolina S. completed their Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in Social Sciences and Psychology from New York University in an unspecified year prior to 2004. Carolina then pursued a Master of Science degree in Human Resources Management from New York University, which they completed in 2009. In 2006, Carolina obtained a certificate in Human Resources Management from the New York Institute of Technology. Additionally, in May 2020, they earned the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification from SHRM.
