Selman Kahya has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Selman is currently working as the Director of Engineering, Communities at Kajabi, a leading platform for creators and knowledge entrepreneurs. Prior to this, Selman served as the CTO & Product Lead at Vibely, a company that was acquired by Kajabi. Selman also has experience as a Youtuber and Content Creator, where they share videos on engineering and career development with a significant online following. Selman founded their own creative agency called Kavun, where they provided app development and consulting services. Selman also worked as a Sr Software Engineer at Uber, where they contributed to projects such as UberWorks, JUMP, Vehicle Solutions, and Xchange Leasing. Before that, they were a Software Engineer at Yahoo, where they worked on Yahoo Search and led the re-write efforts for Y! Search Mobile. Selman's earlier experience includes an internship at Minted, where they implemented regression testing and contributed to the CI/CD pipeline, as well as a role as a Software Engineer at Truttle, where they led a team and successfully launched a teaching platform. Selman started their career as an IT Student Assistant at San Francisco State University, where they completed website design projects. Selman also worked as a Software Engineer at Nodeser, where they created an inventory management application for Carrefour. Selman has a strong technical background and a track record of successfully delivering projects in different domains.

Selman Kahya completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at Fatih University from 2008 to 2012. During this time, they also pursued studies abroad at The University of Salford from 2010 to 2011, where they obtained a second Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Following their undergraduate studies, they furthered their education at San Francisco State University from 2012 to 2014, earning a Master of Science degree in Computer Science.
