Weisi Duan

Weisi Duan has a long and varied work experience, beginning in 2007 when they were a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at Temple University. In 2009, they moved to Carnegie Mellon University, where they took on the role of Research Assistant. In 2011, they worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Zhihu.com, and also began working as a Software Engineer at Google, where they worked on Speech Recognition, Embedded Hotword Detection, AdWords, and AdSense Many-Per-Click Conversion Optimizer. In 2014, they joined Uber as a Staff Software Engineer and Software Engineer. In 2018, they moved to Airbnb as an Engineering, and in 2020, they joined Robinhood in the same role. Currently, they are the Head of Engineering at Kalshi.

Weisi Duan attended Carnegie Mellon University from 2009 to 2011, where they earned an M.S. in Language Technologies. Prior to that, they attended Temple University from 2007 to 2009, where they earned an M.S. in Computer Science.
