Javier Mas Adell

Javier Mas Adell has a diverse work experience in data and machine learning. Javier is currently the Director of Data at Kannact, where they oversee data-related activities. Prior to that, they worked as a Lead Data Scientist at Kannact and was responsible for leading the data science team.

Javier also has experience as a Founding Team and Data Scientist at Bia, where they played a crucial role as part of the founding team and worked on data-related tasks. Additionally, they served as a Visiting Professor at Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias, sharing their expertise in data and technology.

In terms of industry experience, Javier worked at Glovo as a Senior Data Scientist, focusing on forecasting and leading the courier forecast project. Javier also worked as a Data Scientist at Glovo.

Furthermore, Javier has experience as a Machine Learning Instructor at CodeOp and as a Machine Learning Researcher at Barcelona Graduate School of Economics. During their time at Barcelona Graduate School of Economics, they conducted research on building destruction inference from satellite imagery and sentiment analysis of US congressional records.

Earlier in their career, Javier served as a Data Scientist at Alpha, Telefónica Innovation Alpha's moonshot lab. In this role, they worked on data infrastructure and technologies in the health and energy teams.

Throughout their career, Javier has acquired skills in database management, machine learning, and data analysis.

Javier Mas Adell completed their Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Valencia between 2011 and 2016. During this time, they obtained additional certifications including a TOEFL score of 109 from Educational Testing Service (ETS) in November 2013 and a GRE Quant score of 164 (88th percentile) from ETS in September 2015. Javier also spent a year as an exchange student at the University of Oklahoma from 2014 to 2015, where they focused on Political Science. Afterwards, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Data Science at the Barcelona School of Economics from 2016 to 2017.
