Alline R Pacheco

Alline R Pacheco, PhD, is currently the Associate Director of Discovery Research at Kano Therapeutics since April 2024, overseeing the company's pipeline. Previously, Alline held the role of Associate Scientific Director in Immunology at ReNAgade Therapeutics, where expertise in gene editing was applied, though the position was affected by layoffs. As an Associate Principal Scientist at Verve Therapeutics, significant contributions were made to LNP-mediated base editing and regulatory filings. Prior roles include Senior Scientist positions at Intellia Therapeutics and Evelo Biosciences, where foundational work in CRISPR/Cas9 screening and in vitro pharmacology was established. Early research experience includes postdoctoral fellowships at Brigham and Women's Hospital and UC Davis, focusing on host-pathogen interactions and the influence of human milk-oligosaccharides on Bifidobacteria.
