Sean Rathman

Sean Rathman has extensive work experience in finance and accounting. Sean currently holds the position of Chief Financial Officer at KCAV since December 2021. Prior to this, they worked as an Assistant Chief of Finance at the U.S. Marshals Service from July 2019 to December 2021. Sean also served as a Section Chief of Billing and Collections at the USDA from March 2019 to July 2019. During their time at the U.S. Marshals Service from January 2016 to March 2019, they held the role of Assistant Chief of Finance. Before that, they worked at the USDA from January 2011 to January 2016, initially as Chief of the Financial Management Branch and later as a Senior Accountant. Sean has also worked as an Adjunct Professor at MidAmerica Nazarene University in July and August 2014. Earlier in their career, they held positions as a Senior Accountant at the U.S. Marshals Service from August 2009 to January 2011, an Accountant II at Sprint Nextel from August 2007 to August 2009, and an Accounting Manager at TouchNet Information Systems, Inc. from September 2005 to August 2007. Sean began their career as an Audit and Advisory Associate at KPMG US from August 2004 to September 2005.

Sean Rathman completed their education with a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Accounting from McKendree University from 2001 to 2004. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business Administration, Management, and Operations from MidAmerica Nazarene University, attending from 2006 to 2008. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Music Teacher Education from Northwest Missouri State University, graduating between 1995 and 1999.
