Susan Kang has extensive work experience in various roles and organizations. Susan currently works at KU Endowment as the Senior Director of Development Recruitment & Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Lead, a position they have held since June 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Development Recruitment & Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Lead at KU Endowment starting from August 2020. Susan also has experience as the Director of Development Recruitment at KU Endowment from February 2015.

Before joining KU Endowment, Susan worked at the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, where they held the position of Assistant Secretary of Policy & External Affairs from July 2008 to December 2010. Prior to that, they served as the Policy Director at the same organization from August 2003 to June 2008.

Susan also worked as a Litigation Associate at Martin, Magnuson, McCarthy & Kenney from 1991 to 1994, and as a Law Clerk at the Superior Court of Massachusetts from 1990 to 1991.

Susan Kang has a diverse education history. In 1990, they obtained a Law License (retired status) from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Later, in 1999, Susan obtained an Active Law License from the State of Kansas. Additionally, they pursued a BA in Journalism at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, although the specific start and end years are not provided. Susan also attended Northeastern University School of Law, where they obtained a JD degree in Law.

In 2020, Susan enrolled in the Kansas Leadership Center and completed a Leadership Coach Certificate, specializing in Leadership. Furthermore, they obtained several additional certifications: an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) certificate from the International Coaching Federation in June 2023, and certifications in Finding and Retaining High Potentials, Talent Management, and Difficult Conversations: Talking about Race at Work from LinkedIn in July 2022 and November 2020 respectively.
