Helen Andrews

Helen Andrews is an associate at Kaplan Hecker & Fink LLP.

At Kaplan Hecker, Helen’s practice is focused on complex civil litigation and investigations. Helen also currently represents E. Jean Carroll in her defamation lawsuit against Donald J. Trump.

Helen has prior experience as a Litigation associate at Sullivan & Cromwell, where her practice included complex commercial litigation, securities fraud, investigations, intellectual property, and real estate disputes. She also maintained an active pro bono practice, representing clients in cases related to special education, immigration, and criminal law. Helen completed clerkships with the Hon. Collins J. Seitz, Jr. of the Supreme Court of Delaware and the Hon. Jay S. Bybee of the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She interned in the Child Exploitation Division of the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Michigan.

Helen received her JD, summa cum laude, from Pepperdine University School of Law where she was a Faculty Scholar. While there, she was the Editor in Chief of the Pepperdine Law Review and had a full-time externship with the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Helen was inducted into the Order of the Coif and was named the Champion of Armand Arabian Individual Advocacy Tournament and semifinalist for the Moriarity Moot Court Competition. She was also a member of the International Arbitration Moot Court Team, competing twice at the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Hong Kong and finishing as a semifinalist at the Michael Thorsnes International Arbitration Competition. She successfully briefed and argued an appeal before the Ninth Circuit as part of Pepperdine’s Appellate Advocacy Clinic, representing a pretrial detainee alleging violations of his Fourth, Eighth, and Fourteenth Amendment rights. She received her BS from Cornerstone University.
