James Bantner

James Bantner has extensive experience in information technology and network operations, currently serving as the I.T. Director at Karmak since September 2019. Previously, James held the position of Security/Network Operations Manager at Horace Mann, overseeing a team of 14 employees in a 24/7 SOC/NOC environment and managing vendor relationships. Prior to that, James was a Senior Network Analyst at Horace Mann, where responsibilities included installing and configuring Microsoft Exchange and troubleshooting email issues. Earlier in James's career, as an Independent Contractor at Expansion Solutions, technical consulting services were provided, and a product developed gained recognition in trade magazines. James's diverse background also includes roles as a consultant at Ciber and a Platoon Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps, responsible for the operational oversight of a battalion-level electronics repair unit. Education includes coursework at Dallas College and Dallas College Mountain View Campus, following graduation from Lanphier High School.
