Shabbar Sagarwala

Shabbar Sagarwala is an accomplished architect with extensive experience in leading design projects across various sectors and regions. Currently serving as Principal at Kasian Architecture, Shabbar oversees the commercial market sector for Eastern Canada. Previously, Shabbar was a Principal at Eight Inc., where coordination of multi-disciplinary teams was integral to the design of large-scale mixed-use projects for notable clients such as Tokyu Land, NEOM, and ECN Hospitality. Shabbar also held roles as Associate Principal and Director at Eight Inc., focusing on urban design and architecture in markets including the Middle East and Asia. Educational credentials include a Master in Design from Harvard University Graduate School of Design, a Master of Architecture from the University of Toronto, and a Doctor of Engineering candidate from The University of Tokyo. Shabbar is deepening expertise in leadership through participation in the Executive Design Leaders Programme at Future London Academy.
