John Cummings

John Cummings, MBA, PHR, CIC, SHRM-CP has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. John has worked as the Director of Learning and Development at Pinion, overseeing talent development and learning for a large, geographically dispersed workforce. John also served as the Human Resource Director and AZ Leverage HR Consultant at Anderson ZurMuehlen, where they focused on managing, recruiting, developing, and retaining employees. John has teaching experience as an MBA instructor at the University of Montana and an adjunct faculty member at Carroll College, teaching courses on business and human resource management. Additionally, they have held positions at ExplorationWorks!, MMIA, Montana State University, Public Risk Management Association, and SHRM, where they contributed to risk management, taught courses, and served in leadership roles. As a Senior Human Resource and Employee Benefit Consultant at Anderson ZurMuehlen Certified Public Accountants & Business Advisors, John provided a range of consulting services in areas such as organizational analysis, compensation analysis, and employee benefits. John Cummings obtained an MBA in Business from The University of Montana - College of Business from 1994 to 2001. John also completed the Leadership Helena Program and graduated from the program in 1994. In terms of undergraduate education, Cummings earned a BA in English Language and Literature/Letters from Gonzaga University from 1988 to 1992. Prior to that, they attended Capital High School from 1984 to 1988. In addition to their degrees, Cummings has obtained various certifications, including the (CIC) Certified Insurance Counselor certification from the National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research in 2013, the (PHR) Professional in Human Resources certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in 2002, and the SHRM-CPS certification from SHRM in 2015. John is also certified in DiSC Administration and Interpretation from the InterAct Training Group, with the certification expected in 2023.
