Chao-Ling Hung

Chao-Ling Hung, PhD, is a seasoned data scientist currently holding dual roles as Senior Data Scientist at Kevala and Data Science Consultant at Instructure since August 2024. With a wealth of experience, Chao-Ling served as Senior Data Scientist at Swell Energy, focusing on software tools and predictive models for grid services, and previously as a Data Scientist at Kevala, where notable projects included developing predictive models for photovoltaic adoption and energy demand in California. Additional experience includes a Research Scientist position at LearnPlatform, where data analytics informed product strategy, and an Assistant Professor role at Manhattan College, supervising research programs and delivering numerous academic presentations. Chao-Ling's academic credentials include a PhD in Astronomy from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Astronomy and Physics, respectively, from National Tsing Hua University.
