Benne Draijer

Benne Draijer has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Benne is currently working as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Keystone Tower Systems since July 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Manufacturing Engineer at MKS Instruments from October 2021 to June 2022.

From 2017 to 2021, Benne worked at Emerson Automation Solutions, starting as a Manufacturing Engineer Welding and later becoming a Supervisor Manufacturing Engineering/Manufacturing Engineer Welding. In these roles, they led the implementation of two complex Yaskawa robotic welding systems and provided support for all welding-related equipment. Benne also supervised a team of five Manufacturing Engineers and mentored and coached two junior engineers.

Before that, from 2011 to 2017, Benne worked as an Operations Manager at Jan Kuipers Nunspeet, where they were responsible for production, installation, and later also the planning and drafting department. Benne also gained experience as a Junior Engineer Catenary Systems at Strukton Rail and completed a Traineeship Rail at Brunel in 2011.

Benne Draijer's education history includes a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Industrial Design Engineering, which they obtained from the University of Twente from 2005 to 2008. Prior to that, they completed another MSc degree in Industrial Design and Manufacturing at TU Dortmund University from 2002 to 2005. Before pursuing their master's degrees, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Twente between 1999 and 2002. Additionally, in 2013 and 2015, they pursued a post-graduate certificate in International Welding Engineering from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht (Hogeschool Utrecht). Finally, in 2017 and 2018, they enrolled at the same institution to study International Welding Inspection Personnel, attaining a comprehensive level (IWI-C) qualification.
