Aneri Pattani

Aneri Pattani is a seasoned journalist specializing in health reporting, currently serving as a Senior Correspondent at KFF Health News since September 2020, focusing on mental health, substance use, and suicide. Pattani launched the series "Payback: Tracking the Opioid Settlement Cash" in 2023, examining the utilization of opioid settlement funds by state and local governments. Prior to this role, Pattani was a National Correspondent covering a wide range of national health stories and an Investigative Health Reporter at Spotlight PA, where prominent investigations included the state's COVID-19 response. Experience also includes positions at Philadelphia Media Network, WNYC Radio, The New York Times, and various fellowships. Aneri Pattani holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Northeastern University and is pursuing a Master of Public Health at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
