Uzair Ishaq

Uzair Ishaq has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries and roles. Uzair currently works as a Full Stack Engineer at Ki Insurance, a position they have held since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked at RBC Capital Markets as a Software Developer from September 2020 to March 2022 and as a Graduate Technology Analyst from August 2019 to September 2020.

Before joining RBC Capital Markets, Uzair served as a Campus Captain at Sanctuary Graduates, the leading graduate recruitment agency in the UK, from September 2018 to June 2019. In this role, they were responsible for finding talent for various clients and promoting internship, placement, and graduate scheme opportunities through networking.

Uzair also worked at Wiser as part of the Wiser Tech Academy from August 2018 to June 2019. In this position, they actively promoted graduate opportunities to students at Queen Mary University of London, working with renowned clients such as Deutsche Bank, Fidelity International, DeepMind, DisplayLink, Worldpay, JustEat, and Argos.

Earlier in their career, Uzair served as a Teaching Assistant at Queen Mary University of London from September 2017 to June 2019. Uzair assisted in teaching various first-year modules and helped students understand complex concepts while preparing worksheets and answering their questions.

Additionally, Uzair gained valuable industry experience through an internship as a Summer Technology Analyst at RBC Capital Markets in June and July 2018. Uzair learned various technical skills and utilized technologies such as Javascript, Angular, Selenium, Protractor, .net, IntelliJ, Tortoise SVN, and Jenkins.

Uzair's work experience also includes roles as a Supervisor at Pinkberry Ventures, Inc from March 2017 to July 2018, a GCSE Maths Tutor from September 2014 to August 2016, an Event Director at Silver Lined Wedding Shows from September 2014 to March 2016, and an Administrative Assistant - Work Assistant at Ashford Associates (UK) Limited in July 2014.

Uzair Ishaq completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Queen Mary University of London in the years 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, they attended Wanstead High School Sixth Form from 2014 to 2016, where they pursued A Levels in Maths, Further Maths, and Physics. Uzair completed their General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) from Wanstead High School from 2009 to 2014.

In addition, Uzair obtained a certification in Managing Your Time from LinkedIn in September 2017.
