Kevin Kozee

Kevin Kozee is the Senior Software Engineering Manager at Kiddom. Kevin has over seven years of experience in software engineering. Kevin previously worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Maxwell Health from February 2019 to August 2021. There, they implemented story-based features in full-stack Javascript solution, updated Node / Express API to fulfill new features or fix bugs, created complex component based architecture on React front-end, and managed application state using Redux, unidirectional data binding. Kevin also wrote robust MS SQL queries to create, retrieve, update and delete appropriate data, made many major decision regarding UX choices for recent features, refactored CSS to SCSS and implemented better use of Bootstrap SCSS, contributed daily to Github repository through pull requests, discovered new NPM packages to solve complex use cases, initialized and facilitated code reviews and feature demos for team, company stakeholders.

Before Maxwell Health, Kevin was the Engineering Manager at Illuminate Education, Inc. from June 2018 to February 2019. Kevin was also the Lead Developer at IO Education from August 2016 to June 2018 and Software Engineer II at CareerBuilder.com from June 2014 to July 2016. Kevin has a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Kevin Kozee earned a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from The University of Georgia. Kevin then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Oregon State University. Finally, they earned a Master of Education in Counselor Education (Student Affairs) from Clemson University.

They are on a team with Amanda Brindle - Software Engineer, Luiz Dias - Software Engineer, and Tarvinder Saini - Senior QA Engineer. Kevin Kozee reports to Sierra Modro, Director of Engineering.
