Jenni Vartiainen

Head of Research & Co-founder at Kide Science

Jenni Vartiainen is a Research Director and Co-Founder at Kide Science, where the focus is on enhancing scientific thinking skills in children aged 3-8 through story-based hands-on experiments and training for teachers and parents. Vartiainen has a strong academic background, serving as a University Lecturer and researcher at the University of Helsinki since 2013, with previous positions at Tampere University and involvement in the Joy of Learning Multiliteracy development program. With a PhD in Chemistry Teacher Education from the University of Helsinki, Vartiainen's research specializes in young children's science education, multiliteracies, mathematics education, and playful learning, alongside extensive experience in coordinating educational projects and training educators at various levels.
