John DeRubes has a vast and impressive work experience spanning several companies and roles. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President, Global Engineering at Kids2, which they started in 2021. Prior to this, they worked at SharkNinja as the Vice President of Engineering from 2020 to 2021. In this role, they were responsible for advanced design and new product development. Before SharkNinja, they worked at Infantino from 2015 to 2020. Initially, they served as the Vice President of Engineering and Quality and later as the Senior Vice President of Global Research & Development. At Infantino, they played a crucial role in new product development and was responsible for managing multi-site teams and leading corporate liaise with operations. Their earliest work experience includes working at Fisher-Price as the Director of Product Development from 2003 to 2015, where they oversaw the design and development of consumer products in the juvenile, infant, and preschool categories. Finally, they worked at Mattel, Inc. as the Director of Engineering at Mattel Mabamex Factory from 1999 to 2003. In this role, they were accountable for the engineering and production start-up of numerous new products and developments. Throughout their career, John DeRubes has demonstrated expertise in engineering, product development, team management, and strategic leadership.
John DeRubes holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University at Buffalo. John also obtained an MBA in Business Administration and Management, General from Niagara University. Furthermore, they completed the SOAR Leadership Program, earning a Certification of Completion in Advanced Leadership. Additionally, John completed the bluepoint Leadership Development program, gaining a Certification of Completion in International Leadership. John also holds a NYS Professional Engineering License from the New York State Education Department.
