Mariana Pedrosa

Mariana Pedrosa has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of service design. Starting in 2012, they worked as a Graphic Designer Intern at Faculdades Integradas Barros Melo, where they provided graphic assets and gained expertise in print production, typography, and composition. In 2013, they interned as a Graphic Designer at Editora Folha de Pernambuco, where they worked on marketing and graphic design projects.

In 2015, Mariana had two internships as a Service Designer, first at Loowatt Ltd, where they conducted field research and produced a report with insights for the company's CEO and future investors. Mariana then interned at Holmes Care, where they led the company's rebranding and conducted service design workshops with the marketing and HR teams.

Mariana then worked as a Service Designer Consultant at Orbe Consultoria de Marca, where they helped brands and businesses develop strategies, design experiences, and foster meaningful connections.

In 2016, Mariana worked as a Service Design and Circular Economy Consultant at Opendesk and IDEO, respectively. Mariana'sresponsibilities included consulting on service design and circular economy projects.

From 2017 to 2019, they worked as a Service Designer at SODET - Shifting Business Into Social Machines and EY Seren, where they further developed their skills in service design.

Most recently, Mariana has been working at Kin + Carta Europe, starting as a Strategist in 2019 and quickly progressing to Senior Service Designer, Lead Service Designer, and currently holding the position of Principal Service Designer.

Mariana Pedrosa has a Master's Degree in Service Design from the Royal College of Art, which they obtained from 2014 to 2016. In 2014 and 2015, they also completed the Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Design Module of the Executive MBA at Imperial College London. In 2013, Mariana attended two short courses at the University of the Arts London – one in Experience Design and the other in Service Design. Prior to that, from 2012 to 2013, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Marketing at Faculdade de Ciências da Administração de Pernambuco. Mariana also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design from Faculdades Integradas Barros Melo (Aeso), which they earned from 2010 to 2013, and a Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design from Faculdade Boa Viagem, which they completed from 2008 to 2011.
