Stephanie Seweryn Shine

Stephanie Seweryn Shine has a diverse work experience in various industries. Stephanie most recently worked at Kin + Carta as a Strategy + Innovation Principal starting in September 2022. Prior to that, Stephanie held roles at the Anti-Defamation League, where they served as a Senior Associate Regional Director from July 2021 to August 2022. Stephanie also held positions as an Associate Director for Regional Planning and Growth and as an Assistant Director of Development from August 2020 to July 2021 and from July 2017 to August 2020, respectively. Stephanie's work at the Anti-Defamation League involved donor education strategies, event fundraising, managing an art and essay contest, major donor prospect cultivation, training law enforcement in managing implicit bias, and creating development solicitation and engagement content.

Before their time at the Anti-Defamation League, Stephanie worked at Science With Sophie as the Chief of Staff, supporting the Founder/CEO in various goals, managing partnerships, securing fellowships and sponsors, and overseeing communications.

Stephanie also gained experience in the education sector, working at The Latin School of Chicago as an Assistant Director of Development, Annual Giving from July 2014 to July 2017 and as a Campaign and Annual Giving Assistant from June 2012 to July 2014.

Additionally, Stephanie has worked at the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation as a Communications Coordinator from May 2011 to June 2012, at United Way of Monroe County as a NonProfit Alliance Co-Coordinator and 4community2 Grant Intern from September 2008 to August 2011, at Indiana University: School of Public and Environmental Affairs as a Transcription Assistant from January 2011 to June 2011, at Legal Counsel for the Elderly (LCE) as a Development Associate from August 2010 to December 2010, and at Indiana University: Residential Programs and Services as a Resident Assistant from August 2008 to May 2010.

Stephanie also worked as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for the "Management Foundations & Approaches" course at Indiana University: School of Public and Environmental Affairs from August 2009 to December 2009. Overall, Stephanie has gained experience in various roles, including strategy and innovation, regional directorship, development, communications, and teaching.

Stephanie Seweryn Shine holds a Master of Public Policy and Administration degree with a focus on Global Policy from Northwestern University. Stephanie also has a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs degree with a specialization in NonProfit Management from Indiana University Bloomington. Stephanie'shigh school education was completed at Mother McAuley High School, where they studied Leadership, Empowerment, and Communication. In terms of certifications, Stephanie has obtained various qualifications including "Business Transformation with Google Cloud" from Google, "Change Management Specialist" from the Management & Strategy Institute, "Removing Barriers to Change" from Wharton Online, and several diversity and inclusion-related certifications from LinkedIn, such as "Communicating about Culturally Sensitive Issues" and "Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences." Stephanie has also completed the "Responsible Business Leaders Program" offered by the United Way of Metro Chicago.
