Austin Ziegler

Austin Ziegler has worked in software development since 1995. Austin began their career at Policy Management Systems Corporation (PMSC) as a Software Developer. Austin then moved to Vanguard Cellular, Inc. as a Software Developer, followed by a role at Solect as a Software Designer/Developer. In 2004, they joined i365 A Seagate Company as a Senior Software Developer, and was promoted to Software Development Team Lead in 2008. In 2011, they worked at both First Media Group as a Senior Software Developer and SurfEasy as a Lead Developer. In 2013, they joined ClearFit as a Senior Developer, and in 2014 they became the Director, Platform Engineering at Kinetic Commerce. In this role, they are responsible for the overall architecture, design, and implementation of the platform and services, security, and development quality. Austin has also been a Google Summer of Code mentor for Ruby Central in 2006, 2007, and 2008, and provided several widely used and well-regarded libraries.

Austin Ziegler earned a Bachelor's degree in English from Union Institute & University between 1993 and 1995.
