Michael Gilmore

Michael Gilmore has had a varied career in the IT industry. In 2008, they began as an IT Technician at Digital Information Systems. During this role, they answered helpdesk calls, troubleshooted end user workstation problems, and performed onsite visits to install new PCs and swap hardware components. In 2010, they moved to Meridian Lightweight Technologies Inc. as an IT Technician. In 2012, they joined Circle K as an IT Support Coordinator. In 2013, they returned to Digital Information Systems as an IT Systems Administrator. In 2015, they joined Kinetix as a VP, Security & Client Strategy, VP, Projects & Responsive Support, Senior Director, Project Management, Director, Project Management, and Lead Technical Project Manager. In this role, they managed the technical project implementation team, designed and deployed complex and resilient multi-site, datacenter, and cloud networks. Michael also served as an escalation resource for incident response and critical system outages, and administered and engineered networks for 100+ clients.

Michael Gilmore has a Master of Science in Cybersecurity Technology from the University of Maryland Global Campus, which they completed in 2019. Michael also has a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Western Governors University, which they completed in 2012. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)2 in 2020, Cisco Certified Network Professional Routing and Switching (CCNP-RS) from Cisco in 2016, Microsoft Certified Professional: 70-270 from Microsoft, and Security+, Network+, Project+, and A+ from CompTIA.
