Alvaro Sevillano

Alvaro Sevillano has extensive experience in the field of data engineering and business analytics. Alvaro is currently the Head of Data Engineering at KingMakers since December 2021. Prior to this role, they worked at DP World from June 2018 to December 2021 as the Group IT - Business Analytics & Data Engineering lead, where they successfully modernized the company's data platform and implemented Azure cloud. Alvaro also built and managed a team of data and BI engineers, delivering accurate insights and visualizations to monitor key metrics and trends.

Before joining DP World, Alvaro worked as the Insights & Data Analytics Manager at Careem from December 2016 to June 2018. Alvaro also held the position of Senior Business Intelligence Lead and Project Manager at Clariba from May 2012 to December 2016, and worked as a Business Intelligence Consultant at G2 Worldwide from October 2011 to May 2012. Alvaro started their career as a Business Intelligence Analyst at Yoigo from August 2010 to October 2011. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated a strong interest in machine learning and artificial intelligence.

Alvaro Sevillano began their education in 2003 at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, where they pursued a degree in Informática and graduated in 2011 as an Ingeniero en Informática. Prior to their university studies, Alvaro attended Colegio Salesianos San Ignacio, where they focused on IT engineering at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Alvaro also attended a private school for secondary education, where they achieved honours and studied technical education, specifically A levels in mathematics, physics, and chemistry.

In terms of additional certifications, Alvaro obtained a certification in Machine Learning With Big Data from the University of San Diego in June 2020. Alvaro also holds certifications in SAP Business Objects Certified and SAP HANA Implementation from SAP, although specific details regarding the obtaining dates are not available.
