Anna Fernandes

Anna is a seasoned professional with over 10 years of experience in audit, project management and advisory services. As a VP, Anna manages a large portfolio of clients and Kingsdale’s Shareholder Advisory team. Her work spans multiple industries with clients of various market caps. She advises clients on unique viewpoints of shareholders and historical voting behaviours, shareholder engagement and communication strategy. In addition to this, she is an expert in developing custom solutions focusing on crisis prevention and management during contested situations and hostile bids. Anna’s select transaction and special situations experience at Kingsdale includes acting for: TCI in their action against Canadian National Railway; Detour Gold in defence against Paulson & Co.; Aimia in defence against Mittleman Brothers, LLC; and Goldcorp in a transaction contested by Paulson & Co. and Van Eck Associates Corporation.

Anna holds an HBBA, Finance degree from the University of Guelph as well as two diplomas in Business Administration, Management and Operations and Business Management, Financial Services from Humber Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning. She is a community leader and dedicates her time to various community initiatives, including serving on the Board of Carassauga Festival of Cultures which focuses on promoting multiculturalism and good citizenship.
