Sara Busharar's work experience includes being a PhD Researcher at The Graduate Center, City University of New York since August 2022. Before that, they worked as a Scientist at Kinnos from November 2021. Prior to that, they were a Research And Development Chemist at The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. from August 2019 to September 2021. Sara also worked as a Research Assistant at New York University from September 2017 to December 2018, where they studied the effect of halogen atoms on directing the stereochemical outcomes of nucleophilic substitution reactions of acetals and their electrostatic stabilization in a seven-membered ring. Sara successfully synthesized different stereoselective substrates.

Sara Busharar holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry from New York University. Sara is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Nanotechnology Chemistry at The Graduate Center, City University of New York, with an expected completion year of 2027. Prior to their higher education, they attended The Sixth Secondary School in Al-Qatif, Saudi Arabia. Sara also has certifications in Foundations of Chemical Safety and Risk Management from the American Chemical Society, Intermediate Korean I & II from New York University, and Korean Language Short-term Program - Level 2 (60 Hours) from Ewha Womans University.
