Erik Heath Thomas

Erik Heath Thomas has held a variety of positions in the software engineering industry since 2006. In 2006, they were an Experience Design Lead - Strategy and Architecture at Intuit. From 2010 to 2011, they were the Founder & Product Designer at Beatsee, LLC. In 2012, they worked as an iOS Architect/Engineer at Pearson Foundation and an OSX Engineer at PayPal. From 2013 to 2014, they were the Lead iOS Developer, Video Technology Team at CBS Interactive. In 2015, they founded and became the Principal Consultant at Tether360. Since 2020, they have been the Director of Software Engineering at Kinsa, where they manage and provides technical direction for Firmware, Mobile (iOS and Android), and Backend Services (Python on AWS) teams.

Erik Heath Thomas attended San Diego State University from 1997 to 2002, where they obtained a B.A./B.S. in Psychology and Information Science. Erik Heath also attended San Diego State University from 2008 to 2009, studying Computational Linguistics. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including Unordered Data Structures from Coursera in September 2019, Ordered Data Structures from Coursera in July 2019, Object-Oriented Data Structures in C++ from Coursera in March 2019, Apple Certified Support Professional 10.11 from Apple in November 2016, and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in March 2022.
