Federico Jimeno has a diverse and extensive work experience. Currently, they are an External Senior Advisor at I Squared Capital, where they advise on investment opportunities in Latin America and serves as a director in portfolio companies. Federico also holds the position of Chairman of the Board at Puerto de Barranquilla, Sociedad Portuaria. In addition, they are a Board Member at Ocensa, a company that owns and operates the largest crude oil pipeline in Colombia. Previously, Federico held roles such as Managing Director International - Interim at KIO, Vice President Business Development at Inkia Energy, and Board Member at Aliansalud EPS. Before that, they had positions at HJM Consultores, Naturgy, Proexport, and the Presidential Campaign Álvaro Uribe Vélez for 2006 - 2010.

Federico Jimeno has a diverse education history. Federico holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Universidad de Los Andes, which they earned between 1998 and 2002. Federico then pursued a Master's degree in Energy Business from Fundación Carolina, completing it from 2003 to 2004. In 2004 and 2005, they attended IE Business School, where they obtained an MBA. In 2009, they participated in the Global Competitive Leadership Fellow program at Georgetown University McDonough School of Business. Most recently, in 2019, they attended the General Management Program at Harvard Business School Executive Education. Additionally, they completed their Baccalaureate education at Colegio Anglo Colombiano from 1994 to 1998.
