Julia Cadwallender

Julia Cadwallender is the Regional Director of Student Supports at KIPP Philadelphia Public Schools. After graduating from Emory University with a degree in Sociology, Community Building & Social Change, Julia moved to Philadelphia to join Teach for America. Following her TFA years teaching special education in North Philadelphia, Julia joined KPEA as the founding 1st-grade special education teacher. Driven by the opportunity to build more inclusive educational experiences for all students, Julia helped the KPEA team grow into an inclusive and joyful K-4 school. She then served as the founding Assistant Principal at KNPA, helping set the foundation for KIPP Philly’s first K-8 school. When she is not working, Julia spends time with her husband and two sons exploring all the best parks in Philadelphia.
