Lucia Piccotti

Lucia Piccotti, PhD, EMBA has a diverse and accomplished work experience. Lucia is currently serving as the Director of Strategic Operations and Program Management at Kiromic Biopharma, Inc. since May 2022. Prior to this role, they were the Head of Operations and Proteomics Research at Kiromic Biopharma from December 2020 to April 2022. Before joining Kiromic Biopharma, Lucia worked as a Research Development Consultant at the same company from October 2018 to December 2020.

Additionally, Lucia also has experience as a Managing Partner at Iguvia llc since October 2018. From August 2012 to May 2018, they worked at Kimberly-Clark as a Lead Scientist in the Department of Life Sciences, specifically focusing on the Skin and Vaginal Physiology Team.

Before joining Kimberly-Clark, Lucia was a Research Scientist at MD Anderson Cancer Center from October 2009 to August 2012. Lucia also worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at Baylor College of Medicine from September 2007 to September 2008.

Lucia started their career as a Postdoctoral Fellow at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston from March 2005 to August 2007. During this time, they contributed to various research efforts related to the structure and function of mitochondrial supercomplexes and the detection of Cardiolipin micro-domains in liposomes and mitochondrial membranes through electron microscopy and fluorescence spectroscopy assays.

Lucia Piccotti holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biochemistry from the Università degli Studi di Perugia, which they obtained in an unknown year. Lucia further pursued their education at the same institution and received a Master of Science (MS) degree in Chemistry in 1999.
