Shu Sam Chen

Shu Sam Chen has worked in software engineering since 2014. In that time, they have held roles at HP Autonomy, Microsoft, GeoSpock Ltd., Featurespace, and Kirontech. At HP Autonomy, they were a Software Development Intern, where they developed a system with both back-end server components and a front-end web application connected via RESTful interface. At Microsoft, they were a Software Development Engineer, where they did .NET development as part of Microsoft Identity targeting the client developer experience. At GeoSpock Ltd., they were a Senior Software Engineer, where they did petabyte-scale engineering for high-performance indexing and retrieval of GIS data. At Featurespace, they were a Senior Software Engineer, where they did low-latency API engineering for real-time scoring of fraud risk in transactions. Finally, at Kirontech, they are a Senior Software Engineer, where they do analysis of complex health insurance claim data for fraud detection.

Shu Sam Chen attended Hills Road VI Form College from 2010 to 2012, where they obtained their High School degree. Shu Sam then attended the University of Southampton from 2012 to 2015, where they obtained their Bachelor of Science - BSc (Hons) in Computer Science.
