Alex Porter

Alex Porter is a seasoned policy adviser with extensive experience in strategic advocacy and policy development. Currently serving as Senior Policy Adviser at Kivu International since March 2023, Alex collaborates with local governments in Malawi and think tanks in Bangladesh. Previous roles include Senior Policy Adviser at Nesta, Head of Research for Liam Byrne at the House of Commons, and Communications and Editorial Manager at Policy Network. Additional experience encompasses communications coordination at Demos, campaign assistance for Sadiq Khan, parliamentary research for Margaret Hodge MP, and planning production at CNN. Alex holds a degree in Politics, Psychology and Sociology from the University of Cambridge.
