Dr. Frank Schlichting

Dr. Frank Schlichting has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies. Dr. Frank most recently served as the CEO (Geschäftsführer) at Kiwigrid GmbH since July 2020. Prior to that, they held the position of CEO at Solare Datensysteme GmbH from December 2014 until February 2020. During their time at Solare Datensysteme GmbH, they also served as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) & VP Engineering from March 2014 until February 2020.

Before joining Solare Datensysteme GmbH, Dr. Schlichting worked at Nanotron Technologies GmbH as the Director of Application Engineering & Product Management from February 2003 until March 2014. Prior to that, they served as an RF IC Design Engineer Wireless Communication at Atmel Germany GmbH from June 2001 until January 2003.

Dr. Schlichting also has experience at Autostadt GmbH, where they held the position of Head of Technology Development & Knowledge Management from March 2000 until June 2001. Dr. Frank began their career at Aye Elektronik Gerätebau GmbH as an Application Software Developer from August 1983 until April 1987.

In addition, Dr. Schlichting has worked at Technische Universität Berlin as a Project Head for Electron-/ Ionoptics from October 1995 until February 2000, and at debis - Daimler Benz InterServices as a Software Developer for Database Systems from October 1989 until April 1995.

Dr. Frank Schlichting obtained their Abitur/A-Levels/High school diploma from Albert-Einstein-Gymnasium between 1978 and 1987. Dr. Frank then pursued a Diploma in Physics (MA) specializing in Applied nuclear solid state Physics at Technische Universität Darmstadt from 1989 to 1995. In 1993, they took part in a research sojourn at the University of California, Berkeley, focusing on Physics. Subsequently, Dr. Schlichting enrolled at Technische Universität Berlin, where they completed their Dr.-Ing. degree in Engineering & Applied Physics from 1995 to 1999. During this time, they also conducted a research sojourn at Lomonossov University Moscow in 1997-1998, primarily in the field of Physics.
