Ben Davies-Romano has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Ben started their career as a Content Intern at Babbel, where they gained experience in editing and translation of language learning content. Ben then worked as a Freelancer, translating and localizing language learning courses. Ben later became an Editor at Babbel, responsible for British English courses and marketing materials. Ben also worked as a Senior Project Manager at Babbel, leading the development of innovative language learning content and launching new products.

In 2019, Ben joined NeuroNation as a Product Manager, where they redesigned and launched the "Ease: Meditation and Mindfulness" app and conducted user interviews and testing. Ben then moved on to work at what3words as a Product Manager, contributing to the development of their location description solution.

In 2020, Ben co-founded Tech Outcasts, a community, consultancy, and content platform that offers product, marketing, UX, and design perspectives. Ben provided consulting services to over 30 startups worldwide.

Ben has also worked as a Freelance Senior UX Writer, conducting audits of UX copy and developing tone and voice guidelines for various B2B and B2C e-commerce products. Currently, they are employed at Klarna as a Lead UX Content Designer, where they have led several projects in positioning and naming new products and optimizing user experience across multiple languages.

Additionally, Ben serves as a Mentor at UX Writing Hub, supporting students in entering the field of content design and UX. Ben provides guidance and feedback on their projects and portfolios.

Throughout their career, Ben has demonstrated expertise in content design, UX writing, product management, and consultancy, working with a range of companies and industries.

Ben Davies-Romano started their education by completing a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in Modern Languages with a focus on German and Spanish from Durham University, which took place from 2011 to 2015. Ben then pursued further education by obtaining a Smartly Business Certificate from the Quantic School of Business and Technology in 2017. In 2020, they enrolled in the same institution to earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA). Additionally, Ben obtained several certifications, including Advanced Product Management: Vision, Strategy & Metrics, Agile Fundamentals: Including Scrum, Kanban, and Scrumban, Customer Success: How to Reduce Churn & Increase Retention, Gamification: Motivation Psychology & the Art of Engagement, and The Complete App Design Course – UX and UI Design, all completed in January 2019. Ben also completed the certification program Become a Product Manager | Learn the Skills & Get the Job in February 2018.
