Carin Baker has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Carin began their career as an Operations Manager at Lucent Technologies in 1998, where they worked until 2006. Carin then joined Nokia as a Project Manager, contributing to the successful implementation of various projects. In 2016, Carin transitioned to Payliance, where they took on the role of Implementation Manager, overseeing client onboarding and product launches. Carin also served as the Marketing Manager at Payliance, managing day-to-day marketing operations and developing advertising strategies. Carin later joined Klarna in 2020, initially as a Delivery Manager, responsible for ensuring the timely and successful delivery of payment solutions for major accounts. Currently, they hold the position of Solutions Engineer and S&D Competence Lead at Klarna.

Carin Baker holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from Franklin University, which they completed in 2016. Prior to their MBA, Carin earned a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management and Services from Franklin University. Carin also has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Muskingum University. In addition to their formal education, Carin obtained a certification in AAP (Automated Clearing House) from NACHA – The Electronic Payments Association in October 2017.
