Senior UX Research Lead at Klarna

Jayma Leavengood has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and companies. Jayma currently holds the position of UX Research Lead at Klarna since May 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Senior UX Researcher from August 2021 to May 2022. Jayma also worked as a Senior Product Manager at Klarna from December 2020 to July 2021, where they were responsible for driving strategy for a new in-store product in the US through user testing and merchant interviews. Before that, they worked as a Product Manager, US at Klarna from April 2019 to December 2020, overseeing the development and implementation of buy now, pay later products for retail merchants and consumers.

Jayma's earlier experience includes working as a Product Manager, Developer Experience at Klarna from June 2017 to April 2019. In this role, they led a remote team across three countries, established a vision for building a developer community, and ensured alignment with company-wide strategies.

Prior to joining Klarna, Jayma worked at Dynamit as a Solutions Architect from March 2016 to May 2017, where they crafted digital strategies for national brand clients and led multiple projects from kickoff to launch. Before that, they held the role of Associate Solutions Architect from September 2014 to March 2016, where they created end-to-end technical solutions to unique business problems and developed digital strategies. Jayma also worked as a User Experience Intern at Dynamit from July 2014 to September 2014.

Earlier in their career, Jayma served as a Quality Assurance Intern at Dynamit in 2013. Jayma also gained research experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at The Ohio State University from August 2012 to September 2013, where they assisted in behavioral neuroscience research, performed statistical analysis, and supported lab tasks and animal testing.

Jayma Leavengood completed their Bachelor's Degree in Neuroscience at The Ohio State University from 2010 to 2014. Jayma also obtained certifications in various areas such as Analytics, AdWords, Mobile, Shopping, and Video Advertising from Google in 2015. In 2016, they became a registered yoga teacher (RYT® 200) through Yoga Alliance. Additionally, in 2017, they obtained a certification in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED from the American Red Cross. Jayma also attended Cooper Professional Education for Interaction Design, although the specific dates are not provided.
