Marcos Gutierrez

Marcos Gutierrez has an extensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity and information technology. Marcos currently serves as the Lead Security Engineer at Klarna, where they lead and performs risk assessments, disaster recovery tests, and manages security requirements. Prior to this role, Marcos was the Co-Founder of Asociación de Profesionales Seguridad de la Información y Ciberseguridad, a non-profit community of cybersecurity professionals.

Marcos has also worked as the Regional Offensive Security Manager at Teleperformance, where they organized offensive security activities and managed talent development. Marcos served as the Information Security Officer and Architect for ADC at LafargeHolcim, leading the infosec security group and developing digital security strategies. As the Regional Cybersecurity Architect at SONDA, Marcos designed cybersecurity solutions and achieved excellent results for the cybersecurity division.

Earlier in their career, Marcos held the position of Chief Information Security Officer at Grupo Compufácil, where they ensured compliance with information security policies and managed security staff. Marcos also worked as a Senior Information Technology Security Consultant at Grant Thornton Colombia, leading numerous projects and providing advice on information security compliance. Marcos began their career as a Cyber Security Consultant at SELTIKA Seguridad Informática. Overall, Marcos Gutierrez's work experience demonstrates their expertise in various aspects of cybersecurity and information technology.

Marcos Gutierrez's education history begins in 2000 when they attended Unidades Tecnológicas de Santander. Marcos completed their degree in Telecommunications as a Technologist in 2004. Moving forward, Marcos enrolled at Universidad Manuela Beltrán in 2007 and obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering (equivalent to a BS in computer science) in 2012.

In terms of certifications, Marcos received the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification from ISACA in April 2011. Marcos also became an ISO 27001 Internal Auditor through BSI in July 2011. Marcos further pursued the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification and was awarded it in September 2020 by (ISC)². Additionally, they acquired the Scrum Foundations Professional Certificate (SFPC) from CertiProf in June 2020.

As for other certifications, Marcos gained the Ido 20000 certification from ICONTEC International in May 2015. Marcos also attained several certifications in 2020, including the EF SET English Certificate - C2 Proficient from EF Standard English Test, the Write Professional Emails in English certificate from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and the PROFESSIONAL RESILIENCE: BUILDING SKILLS TO THRIVE AT WORK certificate from Deakin University.
