Marijntje van Ijsel Smits

Marijntje van IJsel Smits currently serves as Human Resources Team Lead and Human Resources Advisor at KNAW - Koninklijke Nederlandse Akademie van Wetenschappen since January 2020. Prior to this, Marijntje gained experience as a Stylist at heArt of Style from October 2015 to January 2020, and worked as an HR Advisor at Hotel V & The Lobby Amsterdam from January 2018 to December 2019. Marijntje also held positions as HR Manager and HR Advisor at Unibail-Rodamco from March 2012 to October 2015, and served as an HR beleidsmedewerker at Hotel Krasnapolsky Suriname, where responsibilities included the introduction of performance appraisals. Marijntje holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Studies from Tilburg University, a Bachelor’s Degree in Styling from Angel Fashion Academy, and a Master’s Degree in Onderwijskunde from NCOI Opleidingen, along with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Hotel Management from Hotelschool The Hague, with a focus on various business disciplines.
