Kate Miller is a Doctoral Student in Curriculum, Instruction and Teacher Education at the College of Education, Michigan State University, since 2021. As a Senior Fellow with the Knowles Science Teaching Foundation since June 2012, Kate has engaged in a five-year program emphasizing professional development, leadership, and collaboration with peers. Previously, Kate served as a Science Teacher at Colegio Franklin Delano Roosevelt from 2019 to 2021, teaching IB Physics and 10th grade Science, and as a Physics Teacher at Washington-Liberty High School from 2013 to 2019. Kate began a career as an Application Programmer/Associate Analyst at the University of Michigan from 2010 to 2012, focusing on student performance in physics courses through tailored messaging and collaboration on educational research. Kate holds a Master's degree in Secondary Physics Education from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Physics from the University of Michigan.
