R. Scott Crawford

Executive Director, Bastian Family Center For Career Success at Knox College

R. Scott Crawford has extensive experience in career services, starting in 1996 as the Director of Career Services at Adrian College. During their time there, they developed an on-campus recruiting program and launched an alumni career connections network. R. Scott then worked as the Associate Director of the Graduate Career Center at George Washington University, where they focused on employer relations and developed a successful corporate site visit program. From 2002 to 2005, Crawford served as the Director of Career Services at Johns Hopkins University, Graduate School of Business & Education, where they created a comprehensive traditional career center and launched a recruiting/employer relations program. R. Scott then moved on to Wabash College, where they re-imagined and re-created the career services office and achieved a high student satisfaction rate and national ranking. In 2017, Crawford became the Director of Career Services at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where they re-focused the office towards outcomes-based proactive approaches and built strategic partnerships. R. Scott is currently the Executive Director at Knox College's Bastian Family Center for Career Success.

R. Scott Crawford obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a focus on Human Resources from the University of Arkansas, which they attended from 1980 to 1990. Following this, they pursued a Master of Education (M Ed) degree with a specialization in Higher Education Administration from the same institution, completing their studies in 1993.
