Laura Faber Hess

Laura Faber Hess serves as the Assistant Superintendent at St. Vrain Valley School District No. RE1J since June 2023, having previously held the position of Executive Director of Special Education at St. Vrain Valley Schools from June 2016. Laura’s professional background includes roles such as Project Manager at MAXIMUS and Special Education Divisional Director at Oak Park & River Forest High School. Additionally, Laura contributed as an Affiliate Professor at Regis University from January 2022 to January 2023. With a strong focus on public education growth and innovation, Laura boasts an extensive academic background, holding a PhD in Special Education Leadership from Concordia University Chicago, along with multiple advanced degrees in education and a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
