Beth thrives in the development and deployment of models incorporating both physical and data-driven, statistical insights. At Climate Corporation she built models of rainfall and airborne disease propagation. At Loon she incorporated her models of the stratospheric thermal and electrical environment into an autonomous balloon navigation system.
Prior to her transition to industry, Beth honed these same skills on the large-scale structure of the universe. She devised novel empirical measurements that, when coupled with highly non-linear gravity simulations, enabled important new constraints on the composition of the universe and behavior of gravity on cosmological scales. Her papers have been cited over 2000 times. She holds a Physics Ph.D. from Princeton University.
