About the Role

We are actively looking for the next marketing all-star to own the SEO and Content space at KOHO. This multifaceted position revolves around three key pillars: Content, SEO, and ASO. Keep reading if this sounds interesting to you!

Content:

  • Develop and deliver compelling, educational content designed to boost both organic and overall website traffic.
  • Edit and format digital copy, including blogs and various online materials.
  • Seamlessly upload edited and SEO-optimized blogs to our website using our Content Management System (CMS).
  • Utilize search data from tools such as AHREFs, Search Console, and Google Trends to decipher user intent, inform content strategy, and identify business opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Data, and Marketing teams to enhance the conversion funnel from landing page to registration.
  • Maintain meticulously organized editorial calendars for the content you deliver.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO):

  • Execute fundamental on-page and off-page SEO activities, encompassing keyword research, competitive market analysis, keyword-friendly copywriting, content development, metadata updates, and analysis of KOHO properties.
  • Provide performance-based forecasts and reports against SEO Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), presenting findings to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to implement best-practice SEO processes across KOHO properties.
  • Serve as the subject-matter expert on SEO best practices and industry trends.
  • Define search-driven guidelines and requirements for various elements including page content, copy, page speed, accessibility, indexability, structured markup, site architecture, URL structure, page titles, meta descriptions, headings, anchor text, internal linking, site maps, etc.
  • Strategically align paid and organic search strategies to optimize costs while maximizing key business activities.

App Store Optimization (ASO):

  • Conduct ASO experimentation for Google Play and App Store product pages.
  • Analyze and update ASO listings in collaboration with the mobile release team, driving impactful changes across releases (e.g., title, description, keywords, meta, etc.).
  • Perform app store research, including competitor download analysis and keyword research, utilizing ASO tools.
  • Lead the creation of Apple Custom Product Pages in collaboration with the paid team and designers for Search Ads optimization.

Who You Are:

  • 5+ years of experience in a content marketing role, demonstrating a track record of growing organic web traffic.
  • Deep understanding of SEO and technical SEO, including best practices, search engine algorithms, ranking strategies, and proficiency with tools like AHREFs.
  • Familiarity with industry-leading CMS and project management tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, Amplitude, etc.
  • Editorial mindset with a keen understanding of audience preferences and a drive to create content that resonates.
  • Proven success in systematically improving search performance, translating into traffic growth and enhanced site conversions.
  • Bonus: Bilingual proficiency in French and English, along with experience in multimedia content creation.

Compensation at KOHO is determined through various factors including but not limited to: comparable salary market data within Canada, technical skill assessment, a holistic view of previous work history, and internal pay equity with other KOHO team members.

Target Base Salary Range
$110,000$150,000 CAD
