Laura Furst

Principal Scientist at Kojin Therapeutics

Laura Furst has worked in the scientific field since 2013. Laura began their career as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Yale University. Laura then moved to the Broad Institute in 2014, where they served as a Research Chemist and Postdoctoral Researcher. In their role as Research Chemist, Laura guided the chemistry on multiple oncology projects from the stages of hit-to-lead finding through to lead optimization. Additionally, they designed tool compounds to elucidate novel mechanisms-of action aided by biophysical and biochemical data, and supervised junior scientists and managed external chemistry contract workers. In 2020, they joined Kojin Therapeutics as a Principal Scientist.

Laura Furst received a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Organic Chemistry from Boston University between 2007 and 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemistry from Syracuse University between 2003 and 2007.
