Senior Scientist at Kojin Therapeutics

Priya Chatterji has worked in various roles in the life sciences field since 2010. Priya began their career as a Research Assistant and Graduate Student (Masters) at the University of Pennsylvania, where they also worked as a Research Specialist and was involved in descriptive and functional characterization of the expression of RNA binding proteins PCBP1 and PCBP2 in the gastric mucosa in the murine gut. Priya also generated knockout mouse models for protein PCBP2 using the cre-loxp homologous recombination system (conditional) in ES cells, as well as a knockout/knockdown mouse model for protein PCBP1 using Transcription activator-like effector nucleases (TALENs). In 2011, Priya was a Fellow at the Center for Technology Transfer, Univ of Penn, where they provided support for the assessment of the commercial potential of new technologies disclosed to CTT.

In 2018, Priya began working as a Research Fellow at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School, as well as a Postdoctoral Scholar at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. At the Broad Institute, Priya worked as a part of the Cancer Dependency Map Team to help develop the next generation of functional genomics screens, and they helped develop, optimize, and implement genome-scale CRISPR screens of patient-derived organoids from various lineages.

Priya is currently employed as a Senior Scientist and Scientist at Kojin Therapeutics, a position they have held since 2020.

Priya Chatterji completed a Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology from Vellore Institute of Technology. Priya then went on to obtain a Masters in Biotechnology from the University of Pennsylvania. In 2015, they completed an online Core: Credential of Readiness course from Harvard Business School Online.
