Karan Syal

Karan Syal, PhD has a diverse work experience starting from their role as a Summer Intern at Nanyang Technological University in 2007. Karan then worked as a Summer Intern at Max Plank Institute in 2008. Karan later became an Analyst at ZS Associates from 2010 to 2011. In 2011, they joined the Biodesign Institute at Arizona State University as a Graduate Research Student, where they worked until 2017. Karan then interned at Genentech in 2016 as a Marketing Intern before joining Genentech again in 2017 as Manager of Market Analytics & Strategy until 2020. In 2020, they became the CEO of iVizz, overseeing numerous significant accomplishments such as the acquisition by Alfeco Holdings and the launch of iVizz-AI. Currently, they are the Vice President of Account Partnerships at Komodo Health starting from 2023. Throughout their career, Karan has consistently demonstrated their diverse skillset and commitment to innovation and growth.

Karan Syal, PhD has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Arizona State University. Karan also holds a B.Tech and M.Tech in Biotechnology, with a minor in Business Management, from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. Additionally, they have a National Certification in Financial Markets, Derivatives Market from the National Stock Exchange.
