James Pittendreigh has over 19 years of experience in the software development field. James is currently working as a Senior Backend Engineer at komoot since August 2021. Prior to this, James worked at The Stars Group as a Senior Software Engineer, handling back-end application development using technologies such as Kafka Streams, AWS Lambda, and Docker. James also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Sky Betting & Gaming, where they contributed to various projects. Before that, James held the position of Senior Software Engineer at EE, where they played a crucial role in designing and developing the MyEE Android application. James has also worked at Amdocs as a Software Design Authority, overseeing the design and development of applications related to the EE content Billing platform. James began their career at Orange as a Software Developer, focusing on the development of multimedia APIs and provisioning systems. James has also handled roles such as Head Web Developer at Bedworld and Web Application Developer at Gameplay. Throughout their career, James has gained expertise in languages like Kotlin, Java, Typescript, and Swift, as well as proficiency in various platforms and technologies including Kubernetes, AWS, Kafka, Spring Boot, and PostgreSQL.
