Eerikki Mäkinen

Eerikki Mäkinen has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Eerikki started their career at Metso Paper in 1998, where they worked as a Structural Analysis Engineer, specializing in strength analysis and mechanical dimensioning. In 2004, they became a Senior Structural Analysis Engineer at the same company.

In 2005, Eerikki joined SKF as an Application Engineer, supporting important customers in technical studies and projects. Eerikki also took on the role of Team Manager Application Engineering Finland, where they defined the engineering strategy for SKF Finland and supervised the team's activities and projects.

In 2011, Eerikki joined Konecranes, initially as an Engineering Manager and later as Director of Engineering and Product Management roles. Eerikki was responsible for product development, component manufacturing operations, and leading technology preparations for an acquisition. Eerikki also held the position of SVP in various departments, including Product Platforms and Development, Integration, Product Management, Development and Support, and BU Solutions & BU Warehouse Automation.

Their role as Chief Technology Officer in Konecranes from 2021 to 2022 was also noteworthy. Currently, Eerikki holds the position of SVP in Product Management, Development and Support at Konecranes.

Eerikki Mäkinen completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jyväskylä Institute of Technology from 1994 to 1998. Eerikki then pursued a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tampere University of Technology from 2000 to 2004.
