Carl Bartsch

Carl Bartsch has extensive work experience in risk management and credit analysis. Carl is currently the Chief Risk Officer & Head of Credit at Konfído since November 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Head of Credit at SmileDirectClub from July 2019 to October 2022. Before that, they served as the Head of Risk at Petal, where they led a team in establishing and executing risk appetite for a credit card business aimed at improving credit for the underserved population. Carl also worked as the Head of Credit Risk for North America at Klarna from January 2016 to June 2017. Carl held senior roles at Citi and American Express, focusing on risk management and prospect targeting. Carl also worked as an Analytics Services Manager at Crossix Solutions. Prior to that, Carl worked in various managerial positions at American Express. Carl began their career as a Senior Analyst at The Swiss Colony, Inc / IMS.

From 1999 to 2002, Carl Bartsch attended The University of Kansas where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management, with a major in General Business.
