Karl Kalckstein has extensive experience in the field of technical support and engineering. Karl currently works at Kong Inc. as a Sr. Customer Reliability Engineer (Support) since March 2019. Karl also worked at Oracle (through acquisition of Endeca) as a Principal Technical Support Engineer from February 2012 to January 2013. Karl started their career at Endeca as a Senior Technical Support Engineer/Team Lead from July 2005 to February 2012. Karl also worked at Connected as a Technical Support Engineer from April 2002 to July 2005, and at Onyx Software as a Technical Support Engineer from July 2000 to March 2002.

Karl Kalckstein pursued their education in various disciplines. From 1986 to 1997, they attended the University of Cologne, where they obtained an MA degree. During their time at the university, they focused on the fields of Political Science, English, and History. In addition, Karl Kalckstein also enrolled at Virginia Tech from 1990 to 1992, where they earned another MA degree in Political Science.

Apart from their academic achievements, Karl Kalckstein has obtained a certification as a Kong Gateway Certified Associate from Kong Inc. Karl obtained this certification in December 2022.
