Tony Smith

Tony Smith has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Tony is currently working as a Lead Software Engineer at KORE since June 2023. Previously, they worked at Black Pyramid Software where they were the Founder since September 2008. Tony also worked at Twilio Inc. as a Developer Educator from December 2019 to June 2023. Prior to that, they were a Senior Tech Writer and Project Manager at Electric Imp, Inc. from March 2014 to December 2019. Tony has also held positions as a Columnist at The Sunday Times from 2010 to November 2016, Features Editor at The Register from March 2003 to February 2014, and as a Copywriter at Caseworks from August 2002 to January 2003. Additionally, Tony has worked as a Writer and Editor in freelance capacities from 2002 to 2002 and from February 1997 to August 1998. Tony also served as the Managing Editor at The Register from September 1998 to December 2001.

Tony Smith attended The Radcliffe School in Wolverton, Milton Keynes from 1979 to 1985, where they completed their O- and A-levels in Secondary Education. Tony then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Physics with Astrophysics at the University of Leeds from 1985 to 1988, earning a BSc Hons degree.
